According to the latest bulletin issued by EASA (European Union Aviation Safety Agency), commercial flights in the conflict-affected area of the Middle East are currently not permitted until at least 6 March 2026.
At this moment, aviation activities in the region are limited mainly to special repatriation flights, coordinated by the foreign affairs ministries of the respective countries.
The United Arab Emirates airspace is partially restricted, with departures currently allowed only through coordinated authorizations issued by the relevant authorities, primarily for repatriation missions.
Additionally, several airspaces along the Romania – United Arab Emirates route are currently closed. At present, only a single available flight corridor exists, significantly extending flight time and limiting the ability of many aircraft types to operate safely.
Given the major instability across the Middle East region, the safety of our passengers and crew remains AnimaWings’ absolute priority.
The airline remains in continuous contact with the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, EASA, ROMATSA and other competent aviation authorities, constantly assessing all available options for safe flight operations. AnimaWings is prepared with aircraft, flight plans and crews ready to organize flights as soon as operational and security conditions allow.
