You definitely don't want to miss your flight! Plan to arrive at the airport at least 2 hours before your flight's departure time to allow enough time for the necessary check-in procedures, to drop off your hold luggage, to present the necessary documentation for your companion, to go through security and to find the boarding gate. Don't forget to take the necessary papers and travel documents with you!
Online check-in is available 72 hours to 12 hours before the flight for international and flights from Suceava and 72 hours to 2 hours for domestic (except Suceava) and Otopeni flights. Once online check-in has been completed, the selected seat can only be changed at the airport. Both online check-in and airport check-in are free of charge for all AnimaWings passengers.
!! Important: For flights to and from Dubai, check-in is available exclusively at the airport, in accordance with verification procedures required by local authorities. Please make sure to arrive at the airport well in advance to complete all formalities.
Passengers can also check in at the airport. AnimaWings passengers are kindly requested to arrive at the airport on time, at least 2 hours before their flight, to allow sufficient time to complete the Check-in process, hand over their luggage, go through security, and reach the boarding gate in time. The check-in counter will close 45 minutes before the flight, and the boarding gate will close 20 minutes before the flight.
At the Airport Check-in Counter, passengers accompanied by infants or children, people with disabilities, pregnant women, or passengers requiring special assistance have PRIORITY.
Yes. You can reserve your favourite seat in the aircraft, whether it's in the rows with more space, the window or the aisle. To avoid surprises, we recommend that you select your seat from the start, specifically when you make your reservation. If you forget or are still not sure where you want to stay, there is no problem, as you can access your reservation later and select your seat up to 2 hours before your flight. Once online check-in is completed, the selected seat can only be changed at the airport.
What's important to know is that seat rates vary depending on the type of Animawings package you've opted for, but also that there are some exceptions required by safety and security procedures. More details can be found in the "Seat selection" section.
Animawings does not have a restriction in this regard. Passengers are free to bring on board the aircraft the drinks and food they have purchased from the airport. On board the aircraft you can find our Shop On Board catalogue with super deals and a wide selection of soft drinks, beverages, snacks and perfumes.
There are legal limitations on the products and quantities you can take in your hand baggage (whether small or large). Liquids or gels must be stored under certain conditions, cannot be in bottles exceeding 100 ml and cannot exceed 1 litre in total.
More information on these restrictions can be found in the Annex "EU security rules for liquids at airports".
While travelling you can only use your phone, tablet or laptop if (1) the status of the devices is set to "Airplane Mode" or (2) if they do not allow this functionality, specifically in the case of laptops and tablets, Bluetooth connections are disabled.
Flight duration and take-off/departure times are available:
At the time of booking, the passenger will be provided with the flight schedule in effect at that time. The flight schedule may change between the date of publication/purchase and the date on which the journey is scheduled. AnimaWings will make every effort to inform the passenger of any changes to the flight schedule by all means available to the air carrier (e-mail/telephone/handling agent).
AnimaWings passengers can opt for an upgrade of the originally purchased package or for the addition of extra services, provided that they pay the corresponding fees. Certain services are only available online and can be added within a certain timeframe. Also, the rates available online are different from those charged at the airport. More information on children's and infants' (babies') luggage can be found here.
Each airport has a computer system, namely a Flight Information Display System (FIDS), used to display real-time flight arrival and departure information.
To the person selected as the contact person at the time of booking, the AnimaWings system will automatically send notifications of flight status and changes, if any. As for the boarding gate at the airport, this information must be requested at the airport check-in counter or follow the electronic display boards where this information appears.

What to do at the airport
If your baggage is delayed, lost, or damaged, you must report in person to the AnimaWings Baggage Assistance Desk located in the arrivals baggage claim area, before leaving this area of the airport, in order to complete a PIR (Property Irregularity Report).
If the PIR is not completed before leaving the baggage claim area, the company may not be able to accept liability.
Collecting your baggage without filing a PIR will be considered evidence that the baggage was delivered in good condition and in accordance with the Contract of Transportation.
Deadlines for submitting a written claim
In accordance with Regulation (EC) No. 889/2002 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 13 May 2002 (amending Regulation (EC) No. 2027/1997 on air carrier liability in the event of accidents):
In the event of loss of or damage to checked baggage, a written claim must be submitted within 7 days from the date the PIR was completed.
In the event of delayed baggage, a written claim must be submitted within 21 days from the date the PIR was completed.
When reporting any type of damage at the AnimaWings Baggage Assistance Desk, passengers must request a copy of the PIR completed by the airport staff member based on the details provided.
Please note that the PIR is not an official claim, but an internal document used to identify and trace baggage. A copy of the PIR must be attached to the written claim for it to be considered valid.
Baggage responsibility
The carrier’s responsibility ends once the baggage has been placed on the baggage claim belt at the arrival airport.
The company is not responsible if baggage is mistakenly taken by another passenger. In such cases, the passenger who has taken the baggage in error is directly responsible for any related costs. The competent authority for resolving such cases is the Police at the arrival airport.
How to request additional information
To obtain information regarding delayed or lost baggage, you must complete the form available on the Claims page.
The request must be submitted within 7 days from the date the PIR was registered.
