AnimaWings, the Romanian airline, announces the launch of three new routes set to become operational as of October 2025. Following a strong start to the year marked by the successful opening of both domestic and international regular flights and a steady increase in passenger numbers, the company is now expanding its offering with new travel options.

The new AnimaWings destinations from October 2025 are:

  • Bucharest – Suceava | 6 flights per week, starting October 1, 2025, from €39.99/segment
  • Bucharest – Prague | 3 flights per week, starting October 5, 2025, from €49.99/segment
  • Bucharest – Sofia | 5 flights per week, starting October 1, 2025, from €74.99/segment

The new Bucharest – Suceava route responds to the growing demand for faster connectivity between the capital and Northern Romania. AnimaWings has also recently increased the flight frequencies on its existing domestic routes from Bucharest to Cluj-Napoca, Iași, Oradea, and Timișoara.

“We want to bring the capital closer to Romania’s major cities, and Suceava has been a priority for us. Currently, air connectivity in this region is limited, and existing flight schedules do not meet real passenger needs. A solid domestic flight network contributes not only to improved mobility and regional development but also to boosting tourism—especially in Bucovina and Northern Romania, where air connections are essential,” said Marius Pandel, President of AnimaWings.

The airline’s international expansion continues with two new capital city destinations: Prague, one of Central Europe’s most visited cities, and Sofia, an emerging economic hub with growing business ties to Romania.

“Both Prague and Sofia have significant economic and tourism potential. Feedback from passengers and the business community has clearly shown a strong interest in direct, efficient, and affordable connections. We chose these routes to serve a dynamic, ever-evolving market—and because the aircraft we've selected for our fleet are ideally suited for short-haul routes that require frequent service and convenient flight schedules,” added Marius Pandel.

All flights will be operated with state-of-the-art Airbus A220 aircraft, introduced into the fleet earlier this year. This autumn, AnimaWings will also take delivery of another new aircraft—part of a total of 12 Airbus A220s on order over the coming years—marking another step forward in its fleet modernization strategy.

Passengers will be able to choose from three travel classes: Business Class, Premium Economy, and Economy.
