AnimaWings launches flights to Istanbul from five airports in Romania

AnimaWings announces the launch of scheduled flights to Istanbul, departing from five airports in Romania.
Starting October 2025, passengers from Bucharest, Iași, Cluj-Napoca, Timișoara, and Craiova will be able to travel directly to Istanbul Airport (IST). The new scheduled routes announced by AnimaWings from October 2025 are:
- Bucharest (OTP) – Istanbul (IST): from October 8, 2025, 5 flights per week, from €49.99/one way per person
- Iași (IAS) – Istanbul (IST): from October 8, 2025, 3 flights per week, from €49.99/one way per person
- Cluj (CLJ) – Istanbul (IST): from October 16, 2025, 2 flights per week, from €49.99/one way per person
These complement the network already announced earlier this summer, which includes, for the first time in Romania, direct flights to Istanbul from Timișoara (TSR) and Craiova (CRA), further expanding Romania’s regional connectivity with one of the world’s most important transport and business hubs:
- Timișoara (TSR) – Istanbul (IST): from October 3, 2025, 2 flights per week, from €59.99/one way per person
- Craiova (CRA) – Istanbul (IST): from October 3, 2025, 2 flights per week, from €59.99/one way per person
Flights will be operated with Airbus A220 aircraft, part of the 12 Airbus A220s ordered by AnimaWings to expand its fleet over the coming years. A new aircraft will be delivered this autumn, supporting the growth of the airline’s scheduled route network.
